Introducing CVT

CVT stands for Coronavirus Visualization Team. We are part of an umbrella organization known as Erevna. Check out Erevna's website here if you'd like to learn more.

Goals and mission

Our purpose is centered on the visualization of data and publication of content that supports COVID-19 research (and beyond!). CVT is a crowd-sourced network of students passionate about data, research, and community.

Accomplishments (so far!)

CVT has supported various projects, which can be explored at our website (embedded below). We have over 1000 members (high school and university students) in our network. Although CVT is based out of the US, we have membership from all of the world, including Canada, India, and Switzerland! Check out some of the projects our members have led + worked on below:

Points of contact

CVT is run by a dedicated team of directors and advisors who work hard to make sure your experience here at CVT is positive!

A full list of our directors is linked in the Notion page below. If you have questions or concerns, the best person to talk to is Gabrielle Wong, who directs Human Resources (her contact information is at the end of this onboarding page). She can help you with whatever you need or direct you to the best person to chat with! Our other directors are also friendly, so feel free to reach out to them directly as well.

CVT Points Of Contact

Getting started on a project or team

As a new member, we'll be placing you with a project on the basis of your skillset and the needs of our active projects. All projects have a project lead (you'll receive contact information for your lead after onboarding). This person will be your guide as you get started with us. They make decisions about when/how often a project meets, guide the workflow, and are there to directly support you as you work on the project.

Although we will be placing you with a project, we also encourage you to get involved in other ways if you have the time commitment to do so! The sections below will outline some of the other opportunities available to CVT members.
