Merge is a 24-hour high school oriented hack+policython that inspires and engages young minds from different backgrounds to solve society’s most pressing challenges.
An increasing number of youth are interested in making a difference globally,
but the majority of them aren’t given the opportunities and resources to get them started. Hence, by bringing together a wide range of students interested in both STEM or Liberal Arts, Merge will provide them a great opportunity by challenging them to think critically, be creative, and utilize many other skills that each individual possesses.
Through our events, we hope to start important conversations, challenge their abilities, and, most importantly, bring like-minded people together to work towards a common goal, and a better future.
At Hack+Policy Foundation, we believe that all youth have the potential to make an impact. Teams will be required to submit a hackathon project or a policy memo, allowing for interdisciplinary collaboration. By encouraging participation from students with different interests, we strive to stimulate original thinking and bring fresh perspectives to the table.
Merge will be hosting its first event online, targeting over 500 high school students from all around the world. This event will take place from March 27th - 28th, 2021 and will be completely free, encouraging more students to participate regardless of their financial status.
As a high school student-run organization, we don’t have an unlimited budget and/or resources that other organizations may have. The success of our events depends tremendously on the generosity of our sponsors, as all our costs currently come out-of-pocket.
We offer several sponsorship tiers, ranging from Bronze to Titanium. The benefits increase with every tier, going from general website branding to recruitment opportunities. Any help that we can receive (and hopefully reciprocate!) is greatly appreciated and will be used to make the most substantial impact possible. With your support, we can truly support the innovators of the future!
All sponsorships/donations we receive will go towards operating expenses. The expenses include merchandise, the winners’ prizes, emergency funds, and any other resources needed to run Merge.
