Merge is a 30-hour high school-oriented hack+policython that inspires and engages young minds from different backgrounds to solve society’s most pressing challenges.
An increasing number of youths are interested in making a difference globally, but the majority of them aren’t given the opportunities and resources to get them started. Hence, by bringing together a wide range of students interested in both STEAM or Liberal Arts, Merge will provide them with a great opportunity by challenging them to think critically, be creative, and utilize many other skills that each individual possesses.
Through our events, we hope to start important conversations, challenge their abilities, and most importantly, bring like-minded people together to work towards a common goal, and a better future.
Merge aims to create an accessible and beginner-friendly event for participants interested in making an impact - regardless of their expertise. As the “digital divide” has started to close, the rise of activism has also increased exponentially. We hope to create impactful events that start conversations, spark innovation, and bring people together to work towards a better future!
Merge will be hosting its first event online, targeting over 500 high school students from all around the world. This event will take place from March 27th - 28th, 2021 and will be completely free, encouraging more students to participate regardless of their financial status.
Partnering with Merge will only ever get better over time. To expand on this: the advantages of partnering with us will indefinitely grow as our network and impact continue to expand. In addition to cross-marketing opportunities - where our current audiences will discover new opportunities and be introduced to new content, we will also offer complete access to our community of mentors for your upcoming events.
We’re currently working towards launching our first event (coming March 2021) and appreciate any help we can receive and reciprocate. We truly believe in the power of collaboration and mutual support!
Our platforms currently include Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and LinkedIn. We will be using all three (unless otherwise specified) to promote partners and their content to increase their reach and engagement.
Merge is planning to host events leading up to the hackathon to provide the participants with the skills they need to succeed. Help us bring STEAM and Liberal Arts students together by co-hosting events and workshops! Events offered include and are not limited to webinars and AMAs.
