Welcome to the Merge 2021 Gather space!

Gather is an engaging and interactive platform that simulates an in-person environment. This platform is totally optional for Merge, but it's a great way to connect to more people during the event and we recommend all participants and volunteers to check it out!

Here are the basics of Gather to get you started :

• Use WASD or the arrow keys to move around.

• You can chose to mute/unmute or turn on/off your video at the bottom right corner of the screen. (Note : For your privacy, you will be automatically muted when you tab away from Gather)

• When you move close to an interactable object, you will see a yellow glow around it. Press x to interact with it.
• You can talk to other people on Gather by just moving close to them.
• Private spaces are available for you to easily talk to others in a group, as you'll be able to hear and see everyone that's also in the private space without having to be right next to them.

There are many rooms in our Gather space. Read through the following room descriptions :

Main Room

The Main Room is where you first spawn when joining our Gather space. Here you will find our Help Desk where we'd be happy to answer any of your questions! You'll also be able to access the other rooms from the Main Room.

Lounge

Come to the Lounge where we have plenty of tables and private spaces set up so you can meet new people and make friends!
