Thank you for joining us as a Director for Winter 2022! We're super excited to have you and look forward to a great term together. Old Directors who are rejoining us for this term, thank you too for all of your hard work so far. For everyone, please read through this quick orientation guide, as it will cover what we're going to be focusing on in the Fall and ensure that everyone has access to what they need.
Every Director is in "charge" of their area of operations. Day to day decisions about your department, how you want to run it, and what you want to do are all up to you. Everyone else is here to support you but as a Director, we want to give you the freedom to lead your team. Think about the key roles listed below as our goals or the purpose of the position - you have a lot of flexibility in how you achieve those goals (within reason of course - please do let us know about anything "big" like a complete overhaul of how things are run, a new publication etc.).
Below, please find position descriptions for each of our active Director positions this year. These areas of the team are what you are in charge of. For our returning Directors, you've probably already filled out a work plan that outlines where you'll be going with these general guidelines (and what you want to focus on) for the term. If we haven't checked in with you about these already, we will do so shortly!
